Yes, to me, the hair looks modern, or even earlier victorian/regency era. I guess that's the basis by which classical music was sometimes considered long hair music.

The Hoover Coat! Great! Trying to work out whether the cartoon was geuinely intended promotional peice or whether it's sarcastically over enthasizing the limited versatility of the design.

I'd say its a Norwegian thing, as I can't see any of the two images. Maybe the effect is spilling over into Sweden...
