Like most Traditional Skinheads (NOT Germany's WWII-era leadership'S:rage: ) & a few of the later Mods in the 60's I use a stick pin to hold the hankerchief in the top pocket of my crombe overcoat in place.
Fold (or make your hankerchief on a card) put it in your top pocket about where it should be & then put the stick pin through the front of the pocket at the top & through the hankercheif. It stays in place & looks great.

I just got a faux pearl pin that I'm going to wear as a tie/cravat pin with my morning dress in my wedding. With a normal macclesfield tie, not a goofy-looking ascot.
