Thanks for the link. I'm a longtime Caniff/Canyon fan, yet I've never seen the show, but from what I've heard and read, it sounds like the direction that the Canyon comic strip took in the early 1950s, when Caniff had Canyon re-enlist to help out in the Korean War. The earlier stories are better, with Steve the head of "Horizons Unlimited", a business he started after WWII. If you ever read the Kitchen Sink Press Steve Canyon magazines from the early 1980s, there's lots of supplemental material about Canyon's past that Caniff drew and wrote about, providing some nice backstory for the character. I love that stuff. I'm looking forward to the DVDs.
