Standout Suit at QM Gathering

Surely some men will be wearing suits of tails on Friday night at the Queen Mary. But will anybody be sporting one like this? (I won't, either!)

Ooh... I like that. That is one of my favourite styles. I don't know the proper name for it, I call it the Madador cut. Short in front... long in back... heck, I should rename it the Mullet Suit! :eusa_doh: Bad I know. Back to my point... I really like that style. It's ***y...

Yes, it looks good. The cut is standard for a suit of tails (think Fred Astaire), but what really makes this one special is the
white silk and black velvet facings on the lapels. Oh, and the brass buttons with the Oxford dining club initials on them ...

No. The waistcoat in the photos is not original to the suit. A 1930s waistcoat is shorter. In any case, the correct waistcoat for an Oxford dining club suit of tails is buff-colored, not white.
