I was wondering, what is the average measurement from the tip of the tie, to the beginning of the knot planned part?

Both of my knot-planned ties measure 14 3/4 inches from the tip to the beginning of the knot section, but I'm sure there would be some variation. The ties are 51 1/2 and 53 1/2 inches long.

That sounds a bit short to the edge of the knot planned section.
I just measured and mine is 16 inches from tip to knot planned section.
