i saw those on ebay and would have bid but they were too small, as is always the case with vintage Balmorals (for me).
what is the top section made from ?

just curious about why you say 1900 instead of say, 1910 or 1920.

now i wonder a bit.
look at the label of these florsheim boots.
did florsheim use these labels after 1910??
these are nice examples.

interesting. How can one confirm when Florsheim stopped using that label? It is a boot label, so even if they used it later, you can't even use a pair of correctly dated shoes as a benchmark. This is the difficulty/ fun of vintage shoes! A mystery is afoot, Sir Holmes
now i am curious about DATING these.
i think around 1900 but...

John Lofgren Monkey Boots Shinki Horsebuttt - $1,136 The classic monkey boot silhouette in an incredibly rich Shinki russet horse leather.
Grant Stone Diesel Boot Dark Olive Chromexcel - $395 Goodyear welted, Horween Chromexcel, classic good looks.
Schott 568 Vandals Jacket - $1,250 The classic Perfecto motorcycle jacket, in a very special limited-edition Schott double rider style.
I picked up these Allen Edmonds awhile back simply because they were too nice to pass up. It would be nice if they fit me, though...

Serious vintage AEs like the first iteration of the Strand style recently reintroduced - especially with the white edge stitching and bit of a spade. Maybe late 1940s or earlier with that vintage decal font. What size? Even the unused rubber heel dates at earliest to the 50s. Clever buy considering they look like New Old Stock (NOS) like in a shoe shop.
