Picked up a bit bigger used pipe stand this week ( cool nautical ships wheel theme). Got the refinishing complete today. Came out decent, but I think it looks better full lol. So far the only issue is that some of the bigger pipes dont like to share space with a tobacco jar in the middle. No prob because there are too many jars anyway. I found a Nice Pampered Chef Wicker basket a while back ( Baking dish carrier) and repurposed it as a tobacco carrier, Keeps things a lot neater on top of the dresser for the good stuff

Humm... I see a couple empty spaces... guess I need to go find a couple more Petersons lol.

Also did some leather maintenance and cleaned up / treated several nice old dried leather tobacco and pipe pouches.

Figured while I was at it, I figured I start a little cleaning and polish on some of the pipes this weekend... ( they actually look decent to the eyes... only look ugly in bright light. Been meaning to do it for a while., Got my micromesh cloths, oxyclean, carnuba wax, and fitz polish ready. now just need to find where I hid my buffing wheels.

Ill be all ready to step out with clean, shiny smoke makers soon!

Finally got brave and broke out the heat *** and did some stem bending (Unbending actually) Just picked up a nice Peterson 307 with what Ill call a mild 1/4 bent that really felt good. I had a couple other big 302's with a more drastic 1/2 bent stem. Im not a big fan of pipes that lay on the chin because I HAVE singed my beard because of that. Now they are a straighter stem and I like them mo better!

Except for the baby I have a full set of WDC Wellington’s. The 9” jumbo will never touch your chin or whiskers.

Missouri Meerschaum used to make a cob pipe in the apple style. Back in 2000 - 2003 we had a 3 yr drought or so & they discontinued the apple because the corn cobs were too small in diameter. The apple was a favorite in a cob pipe.

There was an aftermarket finisher who was buying apples direct from MM. He was drilling out the bottom hardwood plug & fitting the cob with a magnet, then sealing & finishing the outside of the cob, stem, etc. He called it the Magnacob. There was a time when the interior of cars & trucks had at least some metal & the Magnacob was quite popular. I glued a small piece of sheet metal to the wooden rib of my canoes & kept a couple of Magnacobs for days on the river. Always kept one as a truck pipe also.
