That Russian Ssh 40 looks to be in pretty good condition. What is the story behind it? Do you live in western part of the Russian Federation and found it in your garden or when out walking somewhere? Evocative photo, for sure.

I live in Moscow.

Here, until now, every year find and bury the remains of those who died during the defense of Moscow in 1941. During this ****** battle, about 1,000,000 of our soldiers were killed.
Some helmets and arms have survived well, but most do not...This one was in shelter.
"The war is not over until the last killed soldier is buried" (Suvorov)

I was just getting back into photography in 2013. Bought myself a Nikon 1 J1. A capable, but limited mirrorless 4:3 camera. I look at this and see how far I've come...
