Thank you. It took me 15-20 minutes to get that shot. Someone was always getting in the way (this is Charles, one of the other photographers on the trip).

I'm not usually given to patience. Taking a memorable photograph frequently requires waiting for just the right moment.

I took this shot in Bryce Canyon at dawn. It was 14°F and I had no gloves and an aluminum tripod. Trust me, I won't be doing THAT again! Fortunately, I got this shot, which is a keeper!

Do you like monochrome compositions?

I enjoy monochrome for some subjects but also color for others. B&W can be dramatic and induce certain moods or feelings that color can't. However, I don't have a preference for one over the other.
