Autumn, for me, always brings out a nostalgia for the past.

I always come to this spot in my local park beside the river. It is usually quiet and that empty park bench reminds me of trips taken to other parks, in other countries, with my Mom and Grandfather so many years ago when I was a child and we would collect leaves or acorns or chestnuts in the Fall. We would sit on a bench, wrapped up warmly, watching the leaves fall from the trees. That empty bench always reminds me of the past, of things, of people, no longer here.
