Nominally the first building in France to be liberated from the Germany's WWII-era leaderships. (Ask for the local cider)



Beautiful vehicle. BUT... I got stuck behind him on the way to the ferry home. I might have called him naughty names.



There was an effort to collect as many C-47/DC-3s as possible in the region... I think they did well.



Really well...

An important message from Uncle Sam!

A long time ago (back in the 1950s and 60s), my grandfather worked in a photography studio in a small country town in Malaya (as it was then known).

According to my father, this is the kind of camera they used (photographs taken by me):

It is an EXTREMELY antiquated, probably wet-glass technology camera. I photographed this at a museum I visited during my last trip to Asia. How old would a camera like this be? When did these date from? Does anybody know? My guess is the mid-1800s.
