It did remind me of the midwest and drives to visit our kids in college in Illinois and Ohio... but a little more rolling in places and beautifully kept with prosperous looking farms.

Some words on the DSGVO:

In Germany, you can still photograph as you want, in public! For hobby-photographers, nothing changed.

DSGVO § 85, Part II ("national exceptions")

So, our german 1907's "Art Originator Law" is furthermore relevant!

Short version:

Never publish a "portrait"of a person or a piece of art without permission.

In case of doubt "blacken" in the picture.

An odd moment captured while photographing the Royal Observatory from the second floor of the Queen's House in Greenwich Park.

NOT driving, I grabbed this shot while southbound on the Merritt Parkway. See the cars in the light at the end of the tunnel?!!

I continue to be astounded by the resolution capabilities of today's digital cameras. The bottom photo is simply a super-cropped piece of the top one!

Nice to know that some members here enjoy photography.

I have been a very keen photographer for many years and I was very lucky that at some point, may years ago, I could study Advertising Photography at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan, then I was a pro for many years. I also taught studio still life and portrait photography at the Academie voor fotografie Amsterdam

Few years ago i stopped calling myself a photographer and stated doing some other things for a living but once a photographer always a photographer .
