Good selection of outfits. The bloke on the left has that everday, smart casual look, that I like so much. Simple but stylish. I noted that the man in the centre appears to have relatively low waisted trousers on. Odd that none of them are smoking, although the man in the centre does appear to have a glass of beer.

This photo is interesting: it shows that very boxy look that came in across east Europe during the fifties and which remained in place for many years.

Look carefully... it has at least four buttons and appears to have a collar that can be buttoned up.
There were such sportcoats... but part of me wants this to be an altered suit jacket.

Yes - I think the bulky Central/Eastern European style is quite appealing (as long as the waist is accentuated).
One of my first posts on the FL referred to the 1948 tailoring instructions for Berlin tailors catering to the allied powers.
Soviet suits had the widest legs, shoulders and lapels... French the narrowest.

These suits look still quite 40's and mostly well worn.
Another interesting observation are the different lengths of trousers and apparent profiled rubber soles of guy 4 from left.

I really like the beret with DB combo. Also note the several layers of the railway-worker (badge on cap) in an alpine-fashion jacket.

The best example of the post-war East European look is a photo of Boris Yeltsin taken circa 1950. I must try to find it somewhere.

Yeltsin is on the right, but his mate on the left has ridiculously wide trousers. I think the photo was taken in 1950 in Moscow.

What is going on with the lapel? Looks like some sort of insignia, and quite worn.
