Yes, how could they possibly know that they were breaking a Rule while simutainiously displaying Sprezzatura..........They didn't have as many menswear blogs and Alan Flusser books back then...

Here is Leslie Philipps in 'The Pool of London' (1950). He is wearing a jacket with three flapped pockets, all of which have a large rounded button to close them.
