Odd that he should look so cosmopolitan. Simak wrote so often about small towns, rural life, canny Yankee businessmen and their dogs (see "The Big Front Yard" in particular) that I always pictured him in lumberjack shirt and dungarees, living in rural Maine or Vermont.
