Worcester Common is in Massachusetts! Worcester is the second largest town in the state next to Boston and about 45 minutes west, so this is something I could actually attend.

I went to university in Worcester. I know this may come accross as sounding horrible, but I don't care what movie is playing on a large inflatable screen, if it's playing outside at night in Worcester, I value my life too much to go!
Unfortunatley, although it is the second largest city in Massachusettes, and in the 30's and 40's was a very well-to-do area, it has gone way downhill. I can attest after living there for five years, and still having friends who live there, that unless we were protected by a major military force, I wouldn't go to downtown Worcester at night. It's just a very bad place.
OK, I don't mean to sound ungrateful, I appreciate the information. I am pleasantly surprised that a place like Worcester (pronounced Wooo-ster), is doing such a thing. Hopefully this is a sign that the area is getting better. Worcester has a very nice, up-scale neighborhood, and a very good prep school. There is also a lot of history in the city. They have a beautiful art museum and a museum dedicated to "knight". It is a sad thing to me that such a beautiful city has become so dangerous. But, I know several things that are going on in the city to improve it. Over the years they have built a very large mall and a gigantic medical facility, all to no avail. They did recently renovate the old train station, it now looks like a mini version of grand central station. There are about 12 buildings in the downtown area of that era that are being renovated. Unfortuanately, after they are renovated, they can't get businesses to move into them, because the particular area they are in is gang ridden. Well, now you have a Wooostah (said with my fake heavy Boston accent) education. It was once a beautiful city. The architecture there is incredible. But, it is very run down and in some parts, like the downtown area where "The Falcon" is playing, are very dangerous.

We have a similar thing here in Boston. They set up a huge screen in The Boston Common and play vintage movies on it all summer long. It's a great event, but I have yet to go. I remember seeing the list of films at the beginning of the summer, and being very impressed by it. I know one of the films was "Casablanca", I'm sad that I missed that one.....
