good lord, the work !!! all of those huge machines with something so delicate as wool yarn going through them !

p.s. the cameraman - Jack Cardiff - is the cinematographer behind "the Red Shoes".

Fantastic footage. Thanks for posting. Fascinating to get to the closing scene with Edinburgh's Princes Street. Sadly most of those buildings in the background have vanished, though happily Jenners, which has its windows shuttered in the background, is still standing.
