This is an FYI post: there are several Schott leather jackets made for Allen Edmonds that are on sale in the AE retail stores and online, which are direct counterparts of Schott NYC pieces to which they are nearly identical. They are made in the same Schott factory by the same people making the non-collab Schott jackets.
I purchased a "Delivery" jacket in lambskin last week at AE, the 246 in black, which has a different lining than the regular Schott 246 and a black zipper while the regular Schott has a silver nickel zipper. Other than that, the jackets are identical though I actually prefer the AE version's lining and zipper. The jacket is a lighter weight compared to FQHH with a definite buttery feel to it, but is a thicker skin than most lamb I've looked at and I expect it will hold up well over the years if properly treated and conditioned.
The AE version is about $100 less than the regular 246 sold through Schott, and there is also a brown version of the 246 which Schott doesn't offer, though it does sell a brown cowhide version (#546) which I bought as well from Schott itself. That one will be my new "go-to" jacket as it is a bit warmer than the 246.
AE also offers the Schott Rancher (#538) and Cafe Racer (#550), both at lower prices - about $100 to $150 less - than the regular versions through Schott. When I was in the AE store I checked these out as well and they were very appealing/attractive. I think these are good options for people looking for the Schott versions of these specific jackets as they are a bit less expensive than their Schott counterparts, and the minor differences between them and the Schott versions might work for some.
