I went back for more today. Not surprisingly the place was picked clean. I did manage to get a pair of LVC work pants, a killer Rag & Bone chambray shirt jacket and pair of LEE 101 selvege jeans. Their kinda tight but for $23 I had to do it.

But that is the "modern" aspect of it. You simply can't wear clothes these days without a giant LOGO on it. Otherwise who would know what brand it is?

I agree. Other than that it is a nice sweater.

What's funny is that I never looked at the back of that sweater when I posted that!
But that being said, it's at least not a "modern" looking logo!

The logo is single-stitched onto the sweater’s back. Very easy to remove with a seam ripper tool.

Was going to pull the trigger, but the WPG sweater seemed more appealing without the patch and half the sale price. I weighed the options for too long that I seriously lost interest in both.

The best trousers of this style - in whatever material (denim, canvas, wool) - seem to come from Japan. Stevenson Overall Company, Sugar Cane and Buzz Rickson makes some of the most detailed clothes I've ever seen. They are pricey but you reckon it's spread out over "price per wear." My Lofgren Black Pepper cap arrived today! Man, what a great hand on this wool. It's thin & lightweight but keeps your head really warm. I walked the dog for about 20 minutes in 30 degree weather and I was totally toasty.

I also received the brown cord cap from Japan this week and it only took 3 days. Unfortunately, I ordered a large - which is reflected in the receipt included with the cap - but received a medium. I just shot Speedway an email asking them what I should do.
