Do any of you know of any good bobwhite quail recipe?

hope it helps! ive never followed a recipe as such for quail even though ive cooked it a few times in work situations!

Soak them overnight in Kraft Zesty Italian dressing and BBQ them on the grill or make Quail and Dumplings like Dove and Dumplings. Yummy...

Smoke them or slow BBQ them.
...and use a simple basting of salt, pepper, and vinegar.

Good luck to you, and let us know what you think! Looks like you're in the right neck of the woods for it....up here in the frozen Nawth...there's just one county in Massachusetts with a population of Ge'man Bob....and, for that matter....dove isn't game. Sigh.

*****: Unfortunately, the quail populations has been decimated down here. They've been driven back to a couple of very remote redoubts in the Ouachita Mtns. Most of the hunting is done on private preserves with released pen raised birds. No one seems to have gotten to the bottom of the decline despite the money and effort of Quail Unlimited and Quail Forever. State Game and Fish efforts are geared to maintaining large wild turkey populations. Fortunately, we do have plentiful dove populations.
