“Dress Hat” might be a stretch, but pretty sure the lot number (7415) puts it in the late 1930s.

I assume that the hat body was made elsewhere and finished by Stetson.

That would be likely I think. The angled sweatband imprint is unusual too - but the gold printed size label helps support your estimate of age. Great looking hat!

Not that I could see, but I didn’t get aggressive with the sweat what with all the perforations. There was the smaller sized number and some handwriting. I did see this:

Anyone have any idea how long this debossing was used?
Just got this grail hat! Still shocked I was able to find one! I’m guessing this is from 1915-1920, maybe someone more experienced could help confirm. It’s a Stetson Exposition Medals, this hat fits perfectly and is a beautiful gray with black band. Extremely good condition as well, I could not be happier!

Jack, you are so right! But according to FleaBay and all the "Ai" models......EVERY Stetson (and most other brands, and some ball caps) are Open Roads.....
