J. Hückel´s Söhne "Plume", FP 5 3/4, 160 grams, possibly early 1930s. Great Form and Finish. Striking Liner Design that I have never seen before from JHS. Same with the Sweatband type and the Stitched in Liner which is not common with Stiff Felt Hats.

I really like the sweatband and the little corded bow on this one

Dobbs Milan in whatever this dark blue color is. :) This is my only Milan/straw thus far in any other color. Goodwill special. Not sure how I feel about the visible stitch on the end of that ribbon. Not super excited about the ribbon altogether. Mayhap one of these days I will try to do something about it. And the sweatband on this one is noticeably lower quality than most of my others.

Still, I can tell this one is going to be in heavy rotation anytime I don't want to wear something too delicate. I like it. :)

I just got this lovely Brent Black Montecristi in from @Bill Hughes today, thank you, Bill, you are a gentleman and a scholar.

Immaculately packaged and shipped (apparently via time machine) in my first - but hopefully not my last - Northwest Hat Co. box. Sweet! This thing could have gotten run over by the USPS truck on the way here and it would have arrived in perfect condition.

I love this hat. It's objectively beautiful, and it also solves a couple educational problems for me.

1.) it's just a hair on the small side. I want to see if it will cooperate with a little steam and a hat jack.
2.) if that doesn't work, I'm going to ship it back to Mr. Black and have him tweak it for me professionally.

I've been looking forward to having an opportunity to do this and I want to see how it goes. I'm kinda hoping the hat jack doesn't do the trick, to be honest. I realize this is very nerdy and not particularly cost-effective, but the educational hobby stuff is half of what I get out of this. I need new information coming in to keep my brain from turning into mush as I gradually descend into the chaos of middle age lol.

Brent Black - "classic fedora" block - on the high end of his "grade 27"

I counted WPI 728 in a random spot on the sidewall, which is exactly as advertised by Mr. Hughes

A Brent Black via Bill Hughes is a mighty fine combo.

A batch of new hats came in from the fair city of Verona, courtesy of @Daniele Tanto. My thanks go out to him for finding these fine hats for me. He already posted some of them, but here they are all the same.

Barbisio Verelyte Muschio fedora in green. Raw edge brim at 5,5cm and crown at 10,5cm at the center dent. Very nice shape to the hat and the older Barbisio logo makes me think this is an older one. Yes, it's green, but nobody's perfect.:)

This one was in an absolute state when it arrived, but Daniele felt it was worth saving and I agree with him. Both the sweatband and liner were glued to the felt and it was a chore to get that off and sow the sweatband (or what is left of it) back in.
Borsalino backbow fedora in a brown heather colour called misto galla. Can't make out the name on what is left of the label. Used to be a size 58 (not today though). Raw edge brim at 5cm and the crown at 11cm at the center dent.
