Plaid waistcoat (don't know what you call these)

Not my sort of thing at all, but I know some of you out there like these and £19 seems like a good price.

I have never seen a waistcoat that came with buttons for the pockets...this is a first!

I'm not sure bu I think they're faux buttons sans holes

You may be right. But I've never seen buttons on waistcoat pockets like that, real or not. Jackets and shirts, yes, trousers...but not vests like this.

This almost appears to be a shirt/ jacket with the sleeves cut off (?)

I considered that, too, but the short, pointed fronts and well finished arm holes argue against it.
