KittyT said:I would like to wear petticoats but don't. This is because I am too lazy to make my own (and I hate sewing gathers), and I haven't been able to find a nice vintage one that's affordable. I'm not really keen on buying a new one. The soft, frothy, chiffon-textured vintage ones are much better. You can find new ones like this also. I think they're much better than tulle (I think Kamikat meant chiffon, not tulle. Tulle is netting, not the same as what vintage petticoats are made of).
John Lofgren Monkey Boots Shinki Horsebuttt - $1,136 The classic monkey boot silhouette in an incredibly rich Shinki russet horse leather.
Grant Stone Diesel Boot Dark Olive Chromexcel - $395 Goodyear welted, Horween Chromexcel, classic good looks.
Schott 568 Vandals Jacket - $1,250 The classic Perfecto motorcycle jacket, in a very special limited-edition Schott double rider style. kamikat said:No, the vintage one I have is tulle, the same scratchy stuff used in bridal veils. I do have a chiffon one, but it's not nearly as pouffy as the tulle one.

Actually now I'm thinking I might buy one of those cheap, tiered summer skirts in white crepe, they have them for 10-20 dollars in assorted stores, and use that. Or see if I can get one at the thrift store.
