paint removal from clothing

I just bought some 30-40's overalls that have paint splatters on them. Is there anyway to get the paint out after it has been dried for 50 yrs?

I've used paint stripper and a pin to move it around. Try a tiny spot first. If it's a huge mess I wouldn't bother but small dots may be worth the trouble.

Try a pair of scissors.

If it's latex paint you might be able to get it off with soap and water and a lot of hard scrubbing. On the other hand, overalls are supposed to have paint and grease and dirt on them.

I'll be following this thread with interest. I've had some luck getting latex out with solvents (diosol, Stripeeze, if that's still around. I have a half gallon from the '90's) but it's hit or miss on how badly these discolor the fabric.
Oil based paint seems like a mission impossible.

Thanks everyone. I will see what I get in the mail as I plan to use them with my car club and I was hoping to clean them up a bit.
