The guys have that female in the bush surrounded. Snow here today and 3 were in my front yard. No pictures since the phone was somewhere in the house.

Since we’ve lived here, robins have built nests on the back side of the house, usually at the top of a downspout. This year the back door light fixture is home. The second brood this mom has raised this summer.

Great photo.
Squirrels build similar nests, called dreys, high in tree branch forks. Lined with moss and dead leaves, it provides a warm haven through the winter months. Sometimes though, a squirrel, when coming across a ready made apartment, will make full use of what nature provides.
