I just posted this pic in a different thread, sorry for the double post. Then I

started scrolling and found this bike specific thread! This is an old pic from 2012.

I discovered last week that I have all original bike parts to build
a complete bike.
Even the screws to attach the Schwinn Head badge.

On days that I cannot ride my bike... I'll be working in the
spare time to put
this beauty together.

I really must check into my thread more often ...

Here is a little Jaunt we did this time last year, to Normandy again. Despite being in mid October the weather was unseasonably mild and we were in shirtsleeves most of the time.

A rare photo of me and Ben together! Your cycle tourists snapped by Dickie. Both wearing our new SJC shirts. Mine looking a little second hand after 3 days cycling in this lovely October heat wave. Don't sit too close to me on the ferry home ...

We stayed at our friends B&B not far from St Lo, an amazing 1940's timewarp I can highly recommend!

Does anyone have a rough idea about what sort of saddlebags they used to use on club runs in the 30s-50s. Currently looking to get a Carradice one- seen a few Nelson ones on fleBay, but they seem a little big, not sure if the Barley is too small?

If you ever ride out locally for fitness or practice, make a point of taking the A35 through Lyndhurst and on towards Christchurch. About three miles on from Lyndhurst you will come to The Holmsleigh Tea Rooms, formerly Holmsleigh railway station. It's a lovely ride and a great watering hole, sadly, like everywhere else at present, it's in lockdown. I'm looking forward to seeing the place reopen, I don't have an SJC shirt but I do have some of his shoes.
