Hi all.. I didn't know where else to stick this question! I was wondering if anyone knew some good cds with gool ol' western music.. NOT country music. Such as Gene Autry, Sons of the Pioneers, etc_ you know~ yippykiya, etc. I'd really like to find a cd with some good "saloon" piano tunes without lyrics. Any help would be great, thanks! I'm planning a party. I have some stuff, like Gene.. and various insturmentals with Red River Valley and the like.

Don Edwards is wonderful. I first saw him about a decade ago when he appeared on Austin City Limits with Michael Martin Murphy, who also sings cowboy songs. It was love at first sight.

Years ago, Murphy had a hit single called "Wildfire" that I loved. He sings traditional cowboy songs, like Edwards.

I recommend either of these cowboy singers.
