That is what I was thinking of.

Would I wear it on my bag, on my lapel or shirt like a "regular" brooch?

Wow, got my two pins today!

If this were eBay, I'd say "great item, good FAST service & communication, better than advertised, A+++++"

The pins are smaller than I thought they'd be, which means I would not hesitate to put one on a fedora. They are attractive and discreet, would draw attention without overwhelming the hat.

My pin arrived (from Washington State!) today! How is that possible--so fast!

Would depend on the metal used and how high of quality the thing is. Not to mention the type of pin actually used. Personally, having had piercings in the past, I wouldn't dare think of using something meant as a lapel pin in my ear!

You'd need a non-reactive metal as the post, I am not sure what they use on regular earings: gold or sugical steel?

I wore mine today, with a suit I just got.
I was doing a presentation to a group of about fifty people. First guy I ran into was the tech geek. He spoted my pin right away. "What's your lepel pin?"

"Oh, an online group I belong to."
