Here is a film that should interest some. "Nordwand", a German production about the first "serious" try of the north face of the Eiger in 1936. Of course it is a foreign language film and it is subtitle in English on the DVD.
I stumbled across this one recently and I was wondering if anyone here has caught this film and what they thought of it. If you have I would be interested in if this is one to add to a DVD collection or not.

Thanks for looking and any comments are welcome.
Cheers!

Based on a true story, North Face is a suspenseful adventure film about a competition to climb the most dangerous rock face in the Alps. Set in 1936, as Germany's WWII-era leadership propaganda urges the nation's Alpinists to conquer the unclimbed north face of the Swiss massif - the Eiger - two reluctant German climbers begin their daring ascent.
