Check your posture when sitting or standing. Do you sit or stand with a forward stooped posture? Try to have an upright military attention posture at all times when standing or sitting. The normal tendency for everyone is to be too far forward with the head, neck, and shoulders, which causes neck pain. This is especially true if you have a sedentary desk job or sit in front of a computer screen all day.

Perhaps the Aero jacket exacerbates poor posture. I've never heard of a jacket that hangs on the neck. Obviously, it should not be "hanging" on the neck. The shoulders should be carrying the weight of the jacket. Does the jacket fit correctly?

Trip to a physical therapist might be in order. Or check out youtube videos by physical therapists for neck pain. Plenty of exercise videos show the correct way to lift dumbbells for shoulder strengthening too. Keep elbows slightly bent to prevent too much pressure on elbow ligaments. And start very, very light. With 2 pound weights max. Progress very slowly to avoid rotator cuff injuries. Think six months to a year a half before you get up to 8 pound dumbbells. Only two shoulder workouts per week are necessary, maybe three workouts if you're young and strong. Pushups are good for the shoulders too.

I didn’t see any specific patterns listed in the body of the OP. But I haven’t had any problems with the Sheene I just got. I’ve had three car accidents and I train in the gym 3 to 4 times a week. I try to watch my posture.

Aero leathers, especially CXL FQHH, are very heavy, so if one is cut wrong for the pattern or is not a good match for your body type, I imagine you would feel it. I did a lot of research on the different patterns before I purchased the Sheene, to determine that it would be a probable good fit for my frame and body type, as well as the aesthetic that I was trying to present. I also purchased on OTR jacket secondhand to minimize cost exposure on my first experience with the brand. As a result, the sleeves are a little bit long (also true of my Schott 613), but not prohibitively so.

I recommend lots of research, including questions to people who have the pattern you’re looking at and a similar frame to you. And whether buying new or used, I recommend taking the most exhaustive measurements possible to make sure you’ll have a good fit. In my case, I had the 613 to use as a guideline. If you don’t have another leather jacket that fits you well, from what I understand, Thurston Brothers has an excellent and mostly very successful fit process that should get you to the right spot. Good luck.
