My Classic Hollywood Portraits taken by ****** Haze

I've been away from the Lounge for a while...chores in the barnyard keep growing as our livestock becomes more varied ('shepherdess' is not an adequate job description any more), two kids in school, hours at the sewing machine, time setting my hair...you know how Life goes. But a few months back, my husband and I took a break from the routine and a trip to Darkbloom Imagery. If you didn't know, our very own ****** Haze has talent not only in front of but also behind the camera! She did a Classic Hollywood session with us.

For the purists out there, please do not be alarmed by my nose ring. Or the fact that my husband is not wearing a tie. While we wanted a certain Hollywood glamour, we still wanted to look like ourselves. I almost always wear pearls, and my husband never wears a tie.

These are great! Until I spotted the nosering (first in the last shot), I could have easily assumed these were period shots.

Thanks, Everyone. It was a fun shoot; a nice change of pace from the typical family-style pictures. ****** has a great eye for setting up those classic poses. Honestly, why don't photographers today take more upside down shots? They are so classic and seductive. After all the initial giggling (on my part), I sort of got into "character." But then it's much easier to act beautiful when you're being adored (apparently my husband got into character, too).
