For all the eccentric stuff Depp has on when he appears in public, I have to say I like the overall effect. I don't think too many other people could pull it off.

He would do a Panama justice. I am actually surprised he did not wear one in the movie Man on Fire. The first hat in Valiio La Pena is really nice looking (nice pinch crease) , but I like all three, better than none.

Catfish keith

I spent an enjoyable evening listening to Catfish Keith. He was at a house party. It was a captivating evening by a masterfull world class acoustic blues muscian. Having him only a handfull feet away reinforced the power in his performance. Emotive voice and strong guitar makes Catfish Keith shows just grand! I found it very inspiring. I can not wait to open up a guitar case in the morning and work out a couple of the arrangements.

His hat was a straw porkpie. I have seen him wear felt and milans in the past. His hats accompany him on stage.

I like the way you turn up the brim on your Open Road. It looks bad on me when I do it, but I like to see it.

You can tell when pausing the first frames that the inside of his hat is consistant with a 50's open road.
Might even be a 100.

James Taylor sang at the DNC Convention yesterday and was wearing a beautiful Open Road style hat. It looked like either a vintage or custom made hat to me because when he waved it at the first the felt was obviously very soft.

Have you seen him in Walk Hard? It's a satire on all the musician biographical films like Walk the Line, Dont Look Back, etc. Reilly plays the main character Dewey Cox and plays and sings through the movie.
