It's the jibaro look, the hat is a PAVA. The "pava" is the traditional hat of Puerto Rico. The straw hat was used by the jíbaros and later sugarcane workers. It was an inexpensive addition to the wardrobe that protected them from the sun's hot rays. It is made from dried palm leaves.
Jíbaro is a term commonly used in Puerto Rico to refer to mountain-dwelling peasants, but in modern times it has gained a broader cultural meaning.

Jimmy Page in a cowboy hat

I took these from about the 5th row in Milwaukee during the Page Plant 1998 concert. Someone in the audience threw the cowboy hat up to Jimmy and he wore it for a couple of songs.
