Man, ya'll are killing me with these great Westerns.
Watched "Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid" again this weekend, great movie and scenery. I really liked this one on Pat Garrett in the beginning of the movie as he's played as an older man.

Apparently this movie was initially panned by the critics, but years later hailed as a great movie. As someone said before, you can't beat the host of great character actors in this.

How could we forget Gandalf?

If only we could get a felt hood/hat body big enough to make that hat. I have wanted to make one but my requirement is a single continuous piece of felt and not several pieces stitched together. I would even take the time to make a special wizard hat block.

I was watching one of my favorite movies, Inherent Vice, recently and realized that joaquin phoenix is wearing one badass fedora in one of the scenes. Would love to know if y'all had any thoughts as to what this may be? I love the crease in the crown and how flat and uneven the brim is.

Just watched Mr. Holmes. Having always been a Sherlock fan, and Ian McKellen is one of my all time top 3 actors I can say I loved this film, definitely going to get a copy... There were several good hats, and I like the fact that they played it where the fiction written by Dr. Watson is where the pipe and Deerstalker play in...

Just watched Mr. Holmes...

I enjoyed it as well. Since they couldn't do much to make McKellen appear as a younger Holmes in flashback (40 yrs?) I liked how they used hats & dress to keep the audience from being confused when a scene was in flashback. Made it easy to follow.

Actually, that was at the premiere of Inherent Vice at the TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood, CA, on December 10, 2014. Sorry, no information about the hat.
