Milanese cuffs. The most elegant and unusual cuff. I have seen exactly one place that advertises shirts with these cuffs. Expensive ****** shirts. Very little on Ask Andy. If you don't know what they are, go to the below link and scroll a little under halfway down and you'll see them.

I don't know why they call that Milanese, as not only have I never seen it in Milan, I haven't even seen it offered by the major Milanese shirtmakers.

perhaps they were ONCE popular in Milan, or perhaps they are popular amongst Milanese in other parts of Italy, or perhaps a man surnamed milanese popularized them, or perhaps it's just a name the same way the Germans call cockroaches Frenchmen, or people call frites French fries, or ....

Anyway, thanks for the info. I looked on the other thread. Sorry they flapped some people to death. I now have sufficient info to decide whether I want them or not and to find them.
