Mascara on upper lashes only?

I have to do both. I have deep set eyes, so I put mascara on the top all the way, on the bottom only in the outer half. That makes my eyes more.. human.

I do top lashes only. I do not like the way I look with bottom lashes done or with eyeliner. I also feel it gives me more of a Ginger Rogers look and it makes my eyes look bigger, for some reason.
