NHD! Gannon Highwayman. This was made with Dress/Western felt in Natural. The felt is finely pounced as the hand is silky smooth to the touch. The crown is very similar to my Gannon dress weight as it is soft and I could easily reshape it if I wanted to. The brim is significantly stiffer and will hold it's shape unless I put steam to it. The ribbon color is called metal and is 16L with a frayed double bow. The binding is felt matching at 3/8". The crown as creased is 4 1/4" at the front and 5 1/4 on the sides. The brim is 2 3/4" after the curl. The sweatband is called Ginger and it has a creme liner.
Michael and I went back and forth a bit regarding putting some shape in the brim. Ultimately, I decided to keep it flat, the way God intended it to be on this model. No flaws, just a magnificent build. Fit is absolutely perfect. I wore it all afternoon as I was driving all over North Alabama and loved every minute of it. It's easy to wear but substantial enough to withstand the elements.

Thanks guys. I think of the Highwayman as a 1920’s - 1930’s Western dress fedora. Michael builds a very nice hat. He apprenticed with one of the best, I believe.HJ was one of the ones who piqued my interest in the Highwayman as well.
Fine, fine examples, HJ! I draw lots of inspiration from yours and other's posts!Besides the two with mid ribbons I have two TAR’s.

If, by "set free", you mean you're willing to trade or sell, the appropriate place would be the Classifieds forum. <<< Just click on the orange words, and you should be taken there.Greetings fellow Gannon fans! I've got a few hats to set free... Is this the appropriate place to post? They are mostly lovely Gannons.
