The love of my husband's life was a black lab called Suzy. I am a distant second. One day, we'll have a dog.

My little Boston Terrorist won't sit still long enough to get a good pic. Dozer is 14 Lbs of attitude, all wrapped up in a cute little package. He snores, his tongue sticks out so her looks mentally challenged, he ****s ON MY BEDROOM WALL somehow when he wants attention, and he is a general pain in the behind, but I wouldn't trade him for a million bucks!

Our alpha brindle, Nudge, will do something similar outside. When we walk him in the park or along trails, he'll often try to get his tush up real high to ****. Like, he'll walk his hind legs backward on top of a log and then ****. Kind of weird, but it also makes the **** easy to get to and pick up. He's never done it inside though.

Can this be a way of marking territory?

Probably, remember that dogs sense of smell is many times better than ours, ellavating the **** would allow the wind to spread the scent further.

As I understand when dogs do the scratching the ground or grass where they have gone they are making another scent marker to direct other dogs to their ****.

She's literally the first dog I've ever had and I can't ever see myself having any other dog other than a pitbull. It's a shame the breed is so demonized. The used to be "America's favorite breed" in the 20's and now they've banning the breed all over the place. She's been nothing but great and gentle with children and the elderly as well. I completely encourage anyone looking for a dog to consider this breed. I've read that only 1 in 600 in shelters (where we got ours) ever get adopted!
