Well sounds awfully tiring. I suppose that's why actors are professionals. It's funny but a producer I knew since I was a child made the first film Connery did after quitting Bond (the first time). When he tried to raise money based on Connery's name is the US no one was interested. Connery in a spy movie they would accept but not in any other genre. He was told that Connery had been "ruined" for anything else. Of course we were all very happy every time he did a bigger and better movie, that kind of attitude was both wrong and stupid.
I'm not surprised. The writing superhero franchise-esque as it was, demanded it. Actors who want to act tend to hate the big action series films (once they get over the excitement of that kind of career advancement). It's weeks and weeks of scenes that take forever to shoot, you never feel like you're accomplishing anything, the choreography is very demanding and dangerous, and maintaining that "this moment has never happened before" frame of mind required for a good performance is very hard. Getting yourself up to whatever fever pitch is demanded by the shot for a couple of minutes, then relax while everything is reset for up to a couple of hours, then again and again, really wears you out.
