I'm going to build a display case for my brass flare ***s, and this is a sample of the wood I've chosen.

I'd like your thoughts, suggestions and advice.

I agree, I think the color nicely compliments the brass. It also offers enough of a contrast to allow the flare ****** to really stand out. Good choice!

Here's one of the shadow boxes I made, this one house my odd ball safety razors the other my straight razors. It's 2 inches deep and the back is 1/4 inch foam core covered with black fabric. The razors are held on with black elastic cord. I was going to put plexi or glass in the front but like it the way it is. Bob

You can check out some different curio cabinets to get some ideas maybe. Bombay has some and Ikea has some modern cabinets to inspire you.
