It is a great design, no doubt about that. I also like the pony & leather version, probably in black and grey for me.

Both of these leathers look absolutely beautiful. Hard to choose.

I would go for the two tone New Zealand sheepskin and I would definitively go for buttons instead of zipper. I think the jacket will lose its character without the buttons. How do you like Thedi's leather knot buttons? (as used on Red Devil's last creation). I think those would look great on this jacket.

As for the chest pocket... I would lose the flap and go for a double welt diagonal pocket with a zipper with ball and chain pull.

Honestly not sure if it’s Vicenza as described, doesn’t have the same character or smell. Maybe CXL FQHH or something else?

Incredible honey / light tan with orange undertones. Soft, thick leather, very little grain except for a bit on sleeve.

Fit is very good but not perfect. Gives me some room across the chest and arms for growth which is appreciated since ive gotten back into strength training. Hopefully will fill in nicely. Sleeves are a touch long etc etc in any case I plan to keep it. Maybe a little tailoring by JL in the future if necessary.

Kinda went pic overload. Really stoked about this one!

That looks like a nice hide, love how the collar is a different color! The fit looks great but will prbably look better later when you bulk up. Any idea if this jacket will darken over time or will it remain the same?

Agreed about the sizing. Maybe I’m just over the moon at finally getting it after a long wait, but I think it can work out as long as I can keep working out heh.

Not sure about the color changing. It was described as natural Vicenza by seller but time will tell there. From what I’ve seen both natural Vicenza and CXL FQHH don’t seem to really change much over time.

The contrast collar and patch pockets really remind me of the Levi’s suede jackets. Really like it in person more that I expected. And I already have a suede tan jacket, so it’s nice to get the variety

I like that a lot! Sleeves should shorten. They did on my aero type iii. Also, could have them add another snap at the sleeve. I think carrie at TB sent me some brass aero snaps once. Was going to have a local place add a snap on the sleeve to make it tighter but my guy did not have the correct tool. Color is really cool i think fit looks great!

Maaaaan! That jacket fit looks so much better with the snaps closed. When it breaks in you will have a better gauge if the jacket needs a little alteration. I like the extra button snap on my JL CXL jacket, i feel it does make the sleeve shorten faster because the creasing gets more pronounced.

We are all head cases in our own special way haha just human things we do! Very cool and it seems like you really love the jacket! I don't think you will mind if it stays the same or darken up.

I agree that it’s hard to believe that it is Vicenza because it looks like such a smooth leather. Beautiful color though and you can see the grain already beginning to pop. This one is going to be something special!
I think the fit on it looks just great as it is, and even better that it has room to grow into if that’s how things go.

Congrats! It looks good, although I'm pretty sure it's too thick to be vicenza. Color is great, and should age beautifully. As for sizing, it's typical of Aero: one often falls between sizes, and you have to chose between slightly too short or too long. Yours is on the bigger side, but it should fit you well in time. If you intend to keep it, which I think you should, wear it in the rain, and keep it on to let it dry. it should conform to your body faster.

@Mrfrown, it's amazing in just about all the ways you ought to concern yourself about. It's a bit on a large side but not something I'd be concerned with for a second. Good length & shape to the jacket. Fits you like it's a regular denim Levi's trucker so all good.

If that's Vicenza, though, I want something in it because it looks 100X nicer than any Vicenza I've ever seen. And much thicker, too. Ask Aero what is it, I'm curious as well now.

There was an half belt floating around the classifieds at some point made out of a similar looking leather, maybe it was robbie’s jacket but I can’t remember. Definitely not Vicenza (or at least not what they regularly stock) and not Natural CXL.

Got word from Aero I’m up to bat as soon as they reopen...mind is racing. I’m thinking of totally changing my order. Still midnight blue...but I may go for a totally different pattern than I had planned. Even if it kicks me back down the road a bit in the queue.
