The Flying burrito brothers wore some unique Nudie suits
I think Gram Parsons jacket may be the most talked about Nudie piece, ever.

Double sacker for sure! Not an association I ever made but I see it. Wish I hadn't.
I always thought it looked like it was put on there later by someone other than Cohn. It doesn't even fit the theme of the jacket. Not an association I ever made but I see it. Wish I hadn't.
Like having tattoos you can leave hanging in the closet...whenever you regret getting them.- like having tattoos all over, but without the needle.![]()

In the past whenever I saw someone with a tribal arm band I would ask what tribe it was from, of which most are from the indigenous tribes of Alaska; not something they could likely trace their ancestry back to. Most of the time they wouldn't know; some wouldn't even know it was a tribal arm band. They just knew it was a repeating pattern they liked.Funny story: of all the people I've met with ink they regret, it's never been having a tattoo they regret, but having that *particular* tattoo - or placement for it.

A young woman with a full sleeve of tattoos would often be seen at a place I frequent. I always thought she was nicely dressed & probably worked in an office nearby. In the summer she would wear sun dresses & her tattooed arm was visible from shoulder to wrist. The subject was koi fish & water plants. Very colorful & nicely done; well thought out. But at the very top just below her shoulder she had a clock face as big as a biscuit, with Roman numerals. The hands were set to 6:10. It was out of place among the koi fish; probably came first. Behind her back the bar scholars & philosophers would speculate if it was 6:10 AM or PM? Was it the time of some important event in her life? The time of her birth perhaps? One theory was that 6:10 might be a Bible verse? She hasn't been seen around in a while now; I guess we'll never know.
Enjoy the rest of your time in Beijing.
Not that I ever heard. I left that to the Bible scholars who first proposed it. No reason other than the Roman numerals I guess; I can't remember if the face had a border or not, but it always made me think of Big Ben.Did anyone ever troll the Bible for all the 6:10s in there?

PS: just a few yrs ago we saw a young woman about 25-28 yrs old with a tattoo of the blue people from the movie "Avatar" wrapped around her thigh. The movie must have been a big influence on her at about age 17. I said to my wife that in another 10 yrs she probably wouldn't even remember who the blue people were or why they were such an influence at the time.
