Help Identify Vanity set authenticity?

Hello again everyone. I hope this is the best place to post this. I pondered before posting, as always. I'm trying to help a fellow historical reenactor in pricing a Victorian-looking vanity set; brush, comb, mirror, and tray. She does want to sell this, but doesn't even know if the set is authentic. Personally I've seen sets that look old but aren't. The bristles have me wondering if they're plastic. There are no markings, as you can see. Not even on the tray.
