He's been all over TCM lately, as well as WBGO, the great Newark jazz station. Great stuff!

Caught the TCM segment about Johnny Mercer, sad and fun, catch it if you can. Songs that will live forever, like "I get a kick Out of You", and "Moon River" real classics, while I was a young when these were hits, they always play in the back of my mind

My favorite Mercer piece is something he tossed off in 1933 for a Paul Whiteman radio show, a ten-minute mini-opera about the repeal of Prohibition. Clever, witty, and ever so entertaining.
