To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the British Lion mark on eggs and the iconic ‘Go to Work on an Egg’ advertising campaign, starring Tony Hancock.

It looks like the adverts where almost as good as 1950s TV programmes.

Some of the vintage Egg Ads have just been banned!

BBC Breakfast TV this morning, the Tony Hancock ad "Go to work on an Egg" has been banned from public viewing, because (wait for it!!)....

It goes against todays drive for a more balanced diet..[huh] ....:eusa_doh:

I'm not even going to try to comment on that!

Yes, they ran the story on the Today programme on Radio 4 this morning. I remember the original adverts well.
