German Airforce Pilot Jacket anybody?

I am considering one of these for some years now.

They are produced by various Repro makers and are offered in grey or black and come in goat or cow. Retail is usually around EUR 400 or so.

My issue is that the very few times, I’ve seen it in the flesh, it’s been worn oversized (to my eye, at least). It’s a blousy design per se and not very short, so hard to get a flattering silhouette, even if you don’t mind the classic blouson look.

Does anyone here have a contemporary example or better intel on size and fit?

You mean one of those, right?

A friend of the family got it about 40-45 years ago during his basic military service as a doctor (helicopter missions). He also wore the jacket privately after his military service and I always thought it was cool. But yes, it was very blouson like and it helped if you had a V-shape figure.

That is the one. Of course, I am after one without the national flag and the insignia.

I don’t really know if the sizing specs have changed in the past.. A friend of mine who was a pilot had one (more than 30 years ago as well), and he wore it rather fitted, and it did look good.
