Here's a couple things I've been working on.

Linen plus fours. They started as a regular trouser pattern but I altered it (more than just changing the cuff to a knee band.)

Peek at a larger project, a tweed suit based off an original. Trousers and vest are done. Trousers are modified from the EvaDress '34 pattern. The vest is not from a pattern, but a draft from the 1949 Modern Tailor, Outfitter, and Clothier by A. A. Whife. The first complete garment I've made from a draft.

And because I can, I put a pocket in the vest lining.

Thanks, Johnny. The jacket will be single breasted notch lapel with four patch pockets, belted back with a yoke and gathered panel between it and the belt.

Originally, I entertained the possibility of zipper-closures, but I was too lazy to go out and buy them. And I had loads of buttons. So I stuck with buttons instead.

Not bad. One of the best things about sewing is getting something with all the details you want the way you want them (same as bespoke, just less expensive and more time consuming). Needs a trim, though What's the lining?

It needs quite a few things, I agree. There were extra features i wanted to put in, but I wasn't able to work it properly.

The lining is red velvet. It's only a partial lining, because I didn't want to push my luck with my skills.

A week ago, I bought an antique wallet, with a view of pulling it apart, rebuilding the lining and then reassembling it.

Unfortunately, the wallet was in FAR worse a condition than I realised, and it just crumbled when I tried to pull it apart.

I pulled out the steel clasp which was the only bit worth saving, and made this instead, which is modeled after the original one, which probably dates to the 1910s/20s:
