If one were to attach a bow to these,would they pass as opera pumps?And no,I'm not planning on doing it,I just wondered if it would work.

I'd say no - it looks like the opening comes too far down the foot. Second, they don't appear to be patent leather either. If you're in a group who wears tuxedoes and the proper accessories, they're going to know what is or isn't an opera pump and have you or whomever ****ed right off the bat. Get the real thing, or at least patent leather that's close. Don't try tacking something onto a shoe trying to make it look like something it's not. It seldom, if ever, works.

Second, they don't appear to be patent leather either.

Calf pumps are perfectly acceptable for Formal and Semi-Formal wear.
