20.5 pit to pit seems pretty small for a 42, does anyone know if that's normal for a Schott of this era?
Go by photo measurements. Size tag means nothing when it comes to vintage. 1950s was when American manufacturers started messing with vanity sizing. After WWII, American’s average body size also became increasingly larger.

Size 48, pretty rare to see these in big guy sizes.

It was a question, not an accusation, and that seems to be a surprisingly strong reaction. i haven’t seen the logs of who is friends with who, I was asking a question because - as the new guy - opening this thread looks more like a marketplace than people sharing what they’ve found.

I don’t know who the actual seller is, my question was primarily aimed at the general activity that people are sharing items actively for sale, with pricing, and it being the same shop being linked to.
Evidently this question has upset at least one member, and any rule seems easy enough to circumvent by having a friend or separate profile do the posting.
I’m not tying to cause trouble with what was an innocent question. It’s just not the activity I expected to see in a thread about finding finds and deals, when the forum already has a classifieds section.
